We have some sad news to report.  George Hall has passed away. There will be a memorial planned for this summer here in New York and his ashes will be buried next to his wife's grave.  We will announce the details as they develop.  George was having a struggle with his heart so it wasn't unexpected, but family and friends are still very sad. Our prayers are with them all.

If any CNYBA members would like to participate in the memorial this summer, please email cnybanews@aol.com. We will pass along your message.

Note from Don Mauro, good friend of CNYBA
Hi Everybody, Ben, our nephew, is between tours with Lionel Richie, having just returned from Sri Lanka, and headed to Europe in February.  He will be home during the holidays and is having a CD Release Show at the Palace Theatre at 7:30 PM on Saturday, December 6th.  This is his first full CD of original songs.  We're looking forward to another great event like the sold out show he did at Shifty's back in May.  He will be backed up by the same band, Phoenix Eleven, and will again feature some special guests.

The Palace is a great music venue with plenty of room, and there is not a bad seat in the house.  The acoustics are excellent.  There is also convenient free parking around the theatre and in the lot behind the POMCO building across the street.  Beer, wine and soda will be available in the lobby where they used to sell popcorn.  Yes, popcorn will be for sale, too. Admission is $25 advance sale, and $30 at the door.  All seats are general admission, and doors open at 6:30.  Click on the link below to order your tickets.  You can choose to print them at home or have them mailed to you at no extra charge.  Invite your friends!  Let's PACK THE PALACE!

To hear a sample of Ben's music and view a video he made in Syracuse last May, go to his website at www.benmauro.com and click on "Let's GO!" at the right end of the menu bar under Ben's name.  Then click on Ben feeding the elephant.
