Join us for exciting Bluegrass
Jamming at 11 am
Potluck Dinner at 1:30 pm
Concert at 3 pm, featuring the Mark Allnatt Band

Traditional Bluegrass with a healthy dose of original tunes!

Admission is $10 ($8 for members). Come for any part of the day...everyone is welcome!

The Mark Allnatt Band includes Mark Allnatt on banjo and vocals; Ted Williams on mandolin/guitar and vocals; Karl Paisley on dobro/guitar and vocals; Henry Jankiewicz on fiddle; and John Dancks on bass. Band leader, Mark Allnatt was born in Cherry Creek New York. Russ Tarby writes, "Mark began playing banjo on a dare. When he was 11, his eyes lit up when his uncle held a five-string banjo in front of him. 'My uncle told me that if I could learn to play a song on it, he’d give me the banjo,' Mark remembered. Sure enough, Mark got the banjo, and he still plays the sizzling instrumental – “Cherry Creek Breakdown” – that he composed as a result of that childhood challenge. In 2004, “Cherry Creek Breakdown” became one of the 13 tracks on “Black Dog,” the Syracuse Area Music Award-winning compact disc by John Cadley & The Lost Boys." Come and join us for exciting Bluegrass!

We have some sad news to report.  George Hall has passed away. There will be a memorial planned for this summer here in New York and his ashes will be buried next to his wife's grave.  We will announce the details as they develop.  George was having a struggle with his heart so it wasn't unexpected, but family and friends are still very sad. Our prayers are with them all.   Update: Sunday, June 28, 2015, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Colocca Estate Winery, 14678 West Bay Road, Fairhaven NY
BBQ Buffet; Cash Bar
They will probably want an RSVP so they know how many to prepare for. We'll let you know.

If any CNYBA members would like to participate in the memorial this summer, please email We will pass along your message.

From Margaret Miller on February 27, 2015 : Dear Family & Friends, Just to let you know that we took Jerry to the hospital last night as he has been having severe pain and through a CT scan it was determined that the cancer has metastasized in several spots in his body. We are in the process of learning what options he has and making some difficult decisions. Please keep us in prayer as we go through this process..... Love, Peggy

Boots and Shorts has just finished recording their latest album at Moletrax Studios. It is expected to be released in the spring. All the material is original and played live but for a few backing vocals. We will keep you posted!
